Findings from the Largest Study on University-Business Cooperation in Europe Launched in Brussels

Ing. Oscar Romero Cruz of “Universidad Estatal a Distancia” from San José, Costa Rica visited S2B Marketing Research Centre

Ing. Oscar Romero Cruz from the Universidad Estatal a Distancia in San José, Costa Rica, visited the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre in Münster. The visit from Ing. Romero had as main purposes to investigate the quality management process and the knowledge and technology transfer strategy implemented by the University of Applied Sciences in Münster.

Due to previous cooperation and experience in many projects with Universities in Latin America, the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre in Münster raised interest to run a “Training Day” for Ing. Romero. Our guest was instructed on a numerous of tools, instruments and methodologies that have been applied in both, European and Latin American contexts.

Professor Baaken has conducted numerous training courses and research projects with Latin American universities, providing the Higher Education Institutions of the region alternative models on knowledge and technology transfer, such as the “Science-to-business Marketing” concept. The cooperation with the region goes beyond a “one-time project activity” to build on long-term partnership relationships that can support the process of professionalization and development of Latin American Higher Education Institutions.
