Balzhan Orazbayeva presents the paper on the International Conference in Athens, Greece

December 19, 2016

The Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) held its 10th Annual International Conference on Global Studies: Business, Economic, Social and Cultural Aspects, Athens, Greece. The aim of the conference was to offer the opportunity to the participants from all parts of the world to present their works to academics and researchers from different disciplines and exchange experiences and ideas with the peers.

The inaugural speech given at the beginning of the conference by ATINER President Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos was dedicated to the globalization and welcomed the participants to discuss together the questions related to this thematic. During the two days of the conference, papers from different disciplines have been presented by academics and researchers from 27 countries.

Balzhan Orazbayeva, research associate of Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre, has presented the paper with the first results of the ongoing study titled “Cultural Differences across Countries in University-Business Cooperation in Europe” co-authored by Prof. Dr. Thomas Baaken. Balzhan Orazbayeva and Thomas Baaken have created hypotheses to better explain the gap in the literature related to peculiarities of UBC activities in different cultural settings in Europe based on the data of the Study “The State of European University-Business Cooperation in Europe” related to Hofstede’s dimensions.
