The Future Challenges of Higher Education Institutions – foresight to 2030

MOOCs, distance learning, blended learning, individualisation of degrees and globalisation of study programs, governmental tenders for educational courses etc.. The students of Master in International Marketing & Sales analysed the, created scenarios, developed concepts and business models for HEIs future. A strategic project.

The task has been raised by the University’s Vice President for Teaching and Learning Affairs and Internationalisation Prof. Dr. Frank Dellman and the dean’s office represented by Prof. Dr. Klaus Schulte, Vice Dean.

Prof. Dr. Urich Balz, Director of European Business Programme, stated: „HEI will face new challenges and need a range of new business models. Thus the results of the study are of value to this University and others.” Prof. Dr. Thilo Harth, Scientific Director of “Wandelwerk Centre for Quality Assurance”, was deeply impressed not only by the contend but also of the way of presenting: „I very much enjoyed the way of demonstrating new ways of learning and teaching, involving new technologies and external experts as well as new concepts to make attendees experience the formats.”
